Natural Stone
As the name indicates, natural stone is a product of nature that is formed beneath the earth’s surface over millions of years. It is then extracted from the Earth at various places all across the world. Their exact mining location is important when it comes to determining the stone slab’s category, texture, color, quality, and value. Some of the popular natural stones are granite, marble, quartzite, limestone, sandstone, and slate.

Artificial or Engineered Stone

It is a man-made material that was brought to use in the 80s. It is its high level of consistency in terms of color and texture that makes it different from natural stones. These stones are made up of composite material which is prepared by crushing stone (preferably marble or quartz) and combine them using an adhesive, usually polymer resin. At present, artificial stone looks identical to natural stones and lends a number of benefits to the users.
